Growth is going to cost you some people 🥺

Nobody warns you about this part of healing...

You start doing the work of healing. You start coming back to yourself and you expect the people around you to celebrate that.

Sometimes they do not.

Sometimes they pull away. Sometimes you pull away. Sometimes a friendship you thought would last forever just ends. And you are left standing there wondering what you did wrong.

You did not do anything wrong.

Growth costs you people. Not because you became someone unrecognizable. But because the person you are coming home to does not always fit the spaces you used to live in. And some people cannot make that transition with you.

That is okay... even when it hurts like hell.

Because here is what I want you to understand.

You are not becoming someone different. Not really. You are becoming the person you have always been underneath everything you were taught, everything you survived, everything you carried that was never yours to carry in the first place.

This is not transformation into someone new.

This is coming home.

And sometimes... the people from your old life cannot follow you there. Not because they are bad people. Not because you are. Just because the version of you that is waking up does not fit who they needed you to be.

The people you lose are making space.

Space for the ones who will actually sit with you. Who will listen without trying to fix you. Who can hold the heavy stuff without flinching. Who see who you are becoming and choose to stay anyway.

Those people exist.

But you will not find them while you are holding onto the wrong ones out of fear of being alone.

So if you are in that season right now... feeling like you are losing people, feeling like the circle is getting smaller, wondering if real connection is even possible for you anymore...

You are not broken.

You are not too much.

You are not too different.

You are just in the in-between. The space between who you were pretending to be and who you actually are. And it is lonely in that space. That is real. That is valid and it does not mean something is wrong with you.

It means you are finally on your way home.

The right people are coming.

But first you have to stop mistaking the loss for failure.

It is not failure.

It is preparation.

PROUD OF YOU 💙

Walking with you,

Leasha

It's 7-something on a Sunday night. I know where your head is right now. Because I've been there, staring at the ceiling or the screen, watching Sunday slip into Monday, feeling that tightness in the chest that has nothing to do with what's actually happening and everything to do with what's coming. The to-do list is already writing itself in your head. The week hasn't started and you're already tired. And somewhere in that spiral, a sentence starts looping: "I'll try to make this week...

I did something recently that scared the hell out of me. I deleted over 300 people from this email list. Not by accident. A deliberate, eyes-open, deep-breath-first decision. I went from 706+ subscribers to around 402. In minutes. And the second I did it, I felt something I haven't felt in a while. I exhaled. Like, actually exhaled. The kind of breath that comes from somewhere below your chest when you finally stop holding on to something that wasn't working. Here's the thing I want you to...

When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Not your face, your hair or your body. YOU. What do you actually say to yourself in that moment? Because if you are anything like I was, it is not kind. It is critical, harsh, distant like you are looking at a stranger you do not even like. I used to avoid mirrors completely. Or I would look and immediately look away because I did not want to feel that. But I started doing something different. Every morning I look at myself and I give myself a...
