The secret I wish someone told me years ago

I need to share something with you today that I wish someone had said to me years ago.

It would have saved me so much pain.

So much spiraling.

So many years of feeling like I was failing at a life I was trying so hard to rebuild.

Here it is:

You’re not stuck because you’re broken.

You’re stuck because your identity is still wired for survival.

No one ever taught us this.

We grew up thinking that:

  • motivation would fix it
  • journaling would fix it
  • a new routine would fix it
  • therapy alone would fix it
  • pretending we were okay would fix it

But deep down, something still felt off.

Like no matter how hard you tried…

You always snapped back into the same patterns.

I know that because that was my life for years.

I didn’t understand that the identity I built to survive wasn’t the identity that would help me truly live.

And when your internal identity is wired for chaos, numbness, hiding, shrinking, people pleasing, or over-functioning…

It doesn’t matter how much you WANT a different life...

your old identity will always pull you back.

That’s the part no one talks about.

But it’s the part that changed everything for me.

Because once I realized the root problem was identity…

I finally stopped blaming myself.

I finally stopped feeling like a failure.

I finally started understanding why nothing else ever worked long-term.

This is why I opened 10 spots for 30 days of coaching, where I walk beside you every single day and help you finally break out of the version of you that’s been carrying everything alone.

Not more motivation.

Not more coping skills.

Not more tips that don’t touch the root.

Actual identity work.

The work I had to learn the hardest way possible.

If you’re tired of slipping back into the same patterns…

If you’ve been trying so hard to change but keep snapping back…

If you feel like you should be further by now…

Reply SHIFT and I’ll send you the details.

Only 10 spots and once they’re gone, this round is closed.

PROUD OF YOU đź’™

Walking with you,

Leasha

P.S. You’re not stuck because you’re failing at growth. You’re stuck because no one ever showed you how to shift your identity.

If you feel that, reply SHIFT and I’ll hold one of the spots for you.

I want to tell you something very real about my life. Friday nights and some Saturday evenings, I like watching WWE. I have a couple of friends who love it too, so we’ll get together, hang out, watch it, just be normal humans enjoying something fun. That doesn’t sound like a big deal. But a year ago? That exact situation would have stopped me cold. Here’s what would happen and I want you to really see this. I’d know the plans were coming. Days before. And instead of feeling excited, my body...

I want you to think about a moment that keeps happening. It’s usually at night. Or in the quiet space between things. You finally slow down… and that familiar feeling shows up. Not panic. Not sadness. Just that tight, heavy, restless feeling in your chest. The one that says: “Something about my life isn’t right.” You don’t even know how to explain it anymore. You just know: Your days blur together You’re tired of feeling this way You feel disconnected from yourself You’re always managing,...

I want to share something small but important that happened today. It’s Taylor Swift’s birthday, and my wife and one of our friends are huge fans. So today we went to a Taylor-themed bingo event. Nothing big. Nothing dramatic. Just a couple of hours doing something they love. But here’s the part that matters: A year ago, I wouldn’t have gone. Not because I didn’t want to or care. But because the voice in my head… the one I call Gerald… would’ve been loud as hell. And to be clear… that voice...
